Daughter of the Stone

Reader Comments

...The science in [Daughter of the Stone] is basic and this is more of a social study of what would happen to a group of humans.... Indeed it shows that humans would become the basic rough creatures we all know ourselves to be, but with some saving examples that always seem to come to the fore to preserve us. Daughter of the Stone is a good and thoughtful book. --Nancy Louise

DAUGHTER OF THE STONE is both inventive and charming. The characters come to life on the pages (and a nice array of them, too). --Ardath Mayhar

...Daughter of the Stone is a compelling tale that is sure to delight Sci-Fi fans. The author has imbued this story with descriptions and narratives that make the world come alive. Ms. Heath [Kae Cheatham] has spent time developing the nuances of the people and settings in order to make them believable to the reader... --Fallen Angel Reviews.

I'm a life-long reader of science fiction and I loved Arryn Heath's imaginative world of speculative fiction in the post Harteks world. I especially enjoyed the characters Dwinn and Lusaar and their efforts to reach their goals and discover the secrets of their ancestors. All in all DAUGHTER OF THE STONE was an excellent read that found me hoping for a sequel!" --Steven Womack

This may very well be one of the most original works I have ever read. At no point was I able to predict what the next twist would be in the plot. -- Enchanted Romance.

[Cheatham] introduces her talent in DAUGHTER OF THE STONE with a voice as firm and solid as Raymond Feist's. Her skill at characterization and world building is every bit as evocative as the universes of C. J. Cherryh's DOWNBELOW and CHANUR. So, dear reader, if you enjoy the best in intellectually founded speculative fiction, treat yourself to this one. --W.
